Common questions
- How does Yewki track my runs?
- Start a session and put your phone in your pocket. Yewki records your GPS position in the background and splits the day into individual runs by itself, logging top speed, vertical, distance and time for each one. A Live Activity keeps the day's numbers on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Location access is required for this; Motion access is optional and is used to tell riding apart from driving, so the drive up isn't counted as a run.
- Does the Apple Watch app work on its own?
- Yes. The watchOS companion records a full day by itself — start, pause and check your stats from your wrist without touching your phone. Completed sessions, including the full GPS trace, transfer to your iPhone the next time the two are in range of each other.
- Does Yewki work without signal?
- Yes. Recording is offline-first: everything is written to your device as you ride and uploaded once a connection comes back, so a dead zone never costs you a run. Download the resort map over Wi-Fi before you go and it keeps working when the bars don't.
- What does Yewki do with Apple Health?
- HealthKit is optional and the app works fully if you decline it. With permission, Yewki writes each session to Apple Health as a workout and reads heart rate from your Apple Watch. Health data stays on your device and in Apple Health — it is never uploaded to Yewki's servers.
- Can I import a track I recorded somewhere else?
- Yes. Go to Sessions → Import and choose a GPX or GeoJSON LineString file. Yewki parses it into a full session with runs, stats and a map trace, exactly as if you'd recorded it in the app.
- How do I restore a Yewki Pro purchase?
- Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought with, then tap Restore Purchases on the Yewki Pro screen. Yewki Pro is an annual subscription with a free trial, and day passes are also available. Subscriptions renew through your Apple Account, so they're managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings rather than in Yewki.
- How do I delete my account and my data?
- In the app, open Settings and choose Delete Account. The Privacy Policy explains what's stored, how long it's kept, and how to make a data request.
§ 02
ROADMAPFeedback & Feature Requests
Got an idea for Yewki, or want to back one that's already been suggested? The feedback portal is the place for it — post a request, follow it, and see what other riders are asking for. It's the same portal the app opens from Settings.
§ 03
